Rick Owens

Rick Owens is a brand born at the beginning of the 90s, by the homonymous Californian designer.

Rick, after stopping his studies at the Otis College of Art and Design, undertook a modeling course and, in 1994, decided to create his own brand.

The designer who now lives and works in Paris, is distinguished by the tidy construction of jackets and slanted cuts that, in 2007, allow him to win the Cooper-Hewitt National design award and the Rule Breaker award.

The various collections contemplate an urban-dark aesthetic, set in an atmosphere of a decadent Hollywood, where men and women are transformed into fauns, amazons and warriors.

The must-have creations of the brand, which differentiate Rick Owens's style from other designers, are the solemn priestess tunics, almost wrapped in a halo of mystery, and the rigorous and sculptural jackets, dark tones that highlight a Gothic minimalism, "fil rouge "of all collections.

The brand presents almost alien outfits, characterized by overlapping fabrics and long sweaters that appear out of dresses and jackets.

The dark and metallic colors, softened by vague golden reflections, alternate plays of lights, shadows and transparencies, which give the lines of dark and seductive reflections.
